6/29/2015 – This year the 4th comes with its own built-in bonus track – the official holiday is Friday July 3rd with the 4th itself landing on Saturday. In fact with Sunday morning just begging for a sleep-in it’s an almost perfect storm of summer holiday happiness, waiting for you to do something special about it. Like making plans for visiting Callaway Gardens for this very special Fourth of July Weekend.
We totally get it. Planning your Independence Day gets tricky when it comes in the middle of the week. Choices must be made about how much fun, relaxing and celebration you can squeeze in. This year’s different. Friday’s the official day off and Saturday’s the Fourth. When you think about it, Sunday’s the real bonus track of summer downtime enjoyment. This year do yourself a favor and take full advantage.
The amazing Star-Spangled Beach Party festivities kick-off early on Friday, and you can plan your fun around lounging and picnicking by Robin Lake. The 3-day weekend party rocks into the night with the FSU Flying Circus, special guest DJ Mikey and live music from the Barstool Prophets. For the really ambitious, on Saturday (Day 2 of your 3-Day Fourth) the beach opens at 7 a.m. but we always suggest letting the fun unfold to the most perfect pace of your choosing. It’s the Fourth of July, it’s Saturday it’s Callaway Gardens with Robin Lake and its cooling waters never more than steps away. Just remember to pack your dancing swimwear so you can fully enjoy our Saturday night headline band the Swinging Medallions.
The icing on the cake? After the early summer sun sets one of the most extravagant, exciting fireworks displays in the South (with the weather’s near certain permission).
As the brilliant sparkling displays fades to a gentle summer evening’s black, you slowly work your way back to your cars and homes, ready to sleep knowing that Sunday’s a sleep-in day — but we’d still love to see you back for the final party leg of this very special weekend. May we suggest you cap it all off with an utterly chill day cooling off on the shores of Robin Lake beach, the glistening summer jewel in the crown of Callaway Gardens, the most relaxing, fun and entertaining way to spend your 3-day Fourth of July weekend.
